🐝New: AI bots that do your tasksLearn more →
ClickUp + BusyBee.Day bots

Let a BusyBee.Day bot work in your ClickUp

Useful when a client runs their projects in ClickUp and you want a bot to keep it updated without copying tasks by hand.

Short answer

BusyBee.Day connects to ClickUp through ClickUp's official MCP server. After you sign in, a bot can search tasks and docs, create and update tasks, change assignees, priorities and dates, log time and summarise comment threads. ClickUp skills for stand-ups, task breakdowns and repeating projects come with the connection.

Examples

You write

Every morning, write a stand-up for the client's ClickUp space: done yesterday, planned today, blocked.

The bot

Reads the ClickUp tasks and writes the stand-up in a new chat.

You write

Break the Website relaunch task in ClickUp into subtasks with estimates.

The bot

Proposes the subtasks, then creates them in ClickUp after your OK.

You write

Summarise the comment thread on the Checkout bug and list the decisions.

The bot

Reads the thread and writes the summary in the task.

Good to know

  • ClickUp's MCP server is available on all ClickUp plans.
  • ClickUp limits MCP calls per day: 50 on Free Forever and 300 on Unlimited and above, unless the workspace has ClickUp's Everything AI add-on (ClickUp documentation, 1 October 2026).
  • Changes ask for your OK by default; reading runs on its own.

Questions and answers

Should I move from ClickUp to BusyBee.Day?

You do not have to. If a client lives in ClickUp, connect it. If you want your own work in one place with bots built in, BusyBee.Day also imports from ClickUp.

Can I use a client's ClickUp account?

Yes. Sign in with it and choose Use only in this project so no other project can use it.
