What is AI agent memory?

Short answer

Agent memory is what an AI agent keeps between conversations and tasks: facts about a project, your preferences, and procedures that worked before. Without memory, you repeat the same context every time. Good memory is visible and editable, separated by project or client, and never stores passwords.

Kinds of memory

Facts

The client prefers short emails; the brand colour is #F5A623.

Preferences

How you like reports laid out; the language you write in.

Procedures

Step-by-step ways of doing a recurring task, often called skills.

In BusyBee.Day

Bots keep project facts per project, facts about you private to you, and skills per project. You can see, edit and undo everything they learn, and memory from emails or web pages waits for your approval.

Questions and answers

Should an agent remember passwords?

No. Logins should be asked for when needed and kept out of memory. BusyBee.Day bots refuse to store passwords and keys in memory.
