API Overview
The BusyBee.Day API is a JSON REST API. The base URL is https://api.busybee.day. Every endpoint is prefixed with /api/. Requests and responses use UTF-8 JSON. All timestamps are ISO 8601 in UTC.
Authentication is via JWT bearer tokens. Rate limits are 600 requests per minute per token. Pagination uses page and page_size query parameters (max page size: 100).
Authentication
BusyBee.Day uses JWT bearer tokens. Obtain a token by calling /api/auth/login with your email and password. Pass the returned token in the Authorization header on every subsequent request.
// 1. Log in to obtain a JWT
const { token } = await fetch('https://api.busybee.day/api/auth/login', {
method: 'POST',
headers: { 'Content-Type': 'application/json' },
body: JSON.stringify({
email: '[email protected]',
password: 'your-password'
})
}).then(r => r.json());
// 2. Use the token in subsequent requests
const tasks = await fetch('https://api.busybee.day/api/tasks', {
headers: { 'Authorization': `Bearer ${token}` }
}).then(r => r.json());Quickstart

Integration Examples
Outgoing webhooks fire when tasks, projects, habits, or meetings change. Each delivery includes an HMAC-SHA256 signature so you can verify the payload came from BusyBee.Day.
// Outgoing webhook payload (task.completed event)
{
"event": "task.completed",
"delivered_at": "2026-05-06T14:32:11Z",
"data": {
"id": "task_8f3a...",
"title": "Review pull request",
"priority": "P2",
"project_id": "proj_abc123",
"completed_at": "2026-05-06T14:32:10Z",
"completed_by": "user_61d0..."
}
}
// Verify signature header
// X-BusyBee-Signature: sha256=<hex>
// HMAC-SHA256(body, your_signing_secret)Full webhook setup, event list, and JSON-path mapping for incoming payloads is documented at /integrations/webhooks.
