Public sharing in a productivity app means generating a URL that anyone can open to see the project status - without creating an account. BusyBee.Day adds three modes: private (default), view (read-only public), and contribute (read-only + signed-in BusyBee.Day users can upvote and submit).

How to share a project publicly

Toggle public visibility, copy the link, share.

    Open project settings

    Click the share icon on any project, or right-click → Share.

    Pick visibility

    Private (default) → only team members. View → anyone with the link, read-only. Contribute → signed-in BusyBee.Day users can submit ideas + upvote.

    Copy the link

    BusyBee.Day generates a unique URL. Copy and share via email, Slack, or website.

    Manage access

    Revoke at any time from the same dialog. The link stops working immediately.

Do public viewers need a BusyBee.Day account?

No. Public links are open URLs. Anyone can open them, search, sort, and expand task details - without an account.

What can public viewers NOT do?

They cannot edit tasks, add comments, see private projects in the same team, or access workspace settings. View is strictly read-only.

How do I revoke a public link?

Open the share dialog, set visibility back to Private. The link stops working immediately. Existing viewers see a "Project no longer public" message.

What is "contribute" mode?

Contribute mode is for public team pages used as roadmaps. Anyone signed into BusyBee.Day can submit ideas and upvote - useful for product feedback portals like Canny or Productboard.
